Join us after the General Meeting on November 21 at 1pm , 990 E. Mission Rd, Fallbrook CA for a Pastels Workshop with Janet Johnson.
Attendees will work from a reference photo used in the General Meeting Demo. The image will be provided to workshop attendees.
Please bring whatever pastels and paper you may already have on hand. Below is a suggested supply list. Janet will be using Clairfontaine Pastelmat in the Demo.
Suggest Supplies:
- Pastels – A variety of hard to soft pastels of any brands in a variety of colors .
- Paper – Any paper of your choosing 9″ X 12″ to 11″ X 14″
- Easel – Bring your easel if you have one. Pastels are generally worked upright to let the dust fall
- Mounting Board – To accommodate your paper. Foam core works well and has a nice give for working with pastels.
- Tools – Artist tape, kneaded eraser, charcoal for sketching
Janet will bring tools and some pastels for those who are new to the medium.
The charge for the workshop will be $40 for members and $50 for non-members payable to Janet at the workshop.
