Portrait Painting with Mikyoung Osburn – July 25, 2026

Join us at The Gallery (119 N Main Ave Fallbrook CA) on July 25 from 1pm – 3:30pm to immerse yourself in portrait painting within the nurturing nature of our small group class. As you build upon your existing techniques, allow the innovative methods demonstrated by our instructor to spark new ideas and elevate your artistic practice.

Bring your own supplies, come and discover your unique artistic style with every brushstroke.

Regardless of your current skill level, this is a warm and welcoming space where local artists gather. Please pre-register below.

Mikyoung Osburn, June 2026 Featured Artist

Mikyoung Osburn was awarded the FAA June’s Best in Show for her oil painting “Morning Chat at Farmers Market”.

Mikyoung Osburn is an oil painter based in Southern California whose work is inspired by the beauty of everyday life, light, and atmosphere. Working primarily in a representational style, she enjoys painting landscapes, still life, and portraits with an emphasis on color, mood, and expressive brushwork.

Her paintings have been exhibited in numerous regional and national juried exhibitions, and she has received awards from organizations including the California Art Club, Anaheim Art Association, and the Fallbrook Art Association. In addition to her studio practice, Mikyoung is a dedicated art instructor who enjoys sharing her passion for painting with students of all levels.

Jill Beltran, May 2026 Featured Artist

Jill Beltran was awarded the FAA May’s Best in Show for her pastel painting “Sleeping with Wolves”. She started my art journey in High school learning pen/ink, which became her medium of choice for 15 years. She designed logos, which were purchased by Montana Silversmith and featured on their belt buckles. She also designed watch faces for an Equestrian wrist watch line, plus their displays. In 1984 she was the alternate illustrator for the Olympic Equestrian cross country program.

She moved into color pencils in her mid 30s and dove head first into this medium. She did mostly color pencils until about 6 years ago then switched to pastels, her absolute favorite medium now. She has been very fortunate to have won several awards in all three mediums. She is planning on teaching color pencil art classes at this wonderful gallery!
